I’m visiting Belladonna on the day Ashley Blue is shooting a foot fetish movie in her house. Whenever I’m in certain nicer neighborhoods of Porn Valley, neighborhoods that achieve a nice balance between residential and upper-crusty, where there are neither warehouses nor McMansions, I always wonder if the neighbors know.
“Well, we’ve got the truck with ‘Belladonna Entertainment’ parked outside,” Belladonna said. “So they can look it up if they really want to know.”
There are not too many porn stars more recognizable than Belladonna, but of that group she is the least likely to travel with an entourage, and she is continually flattered by her fans’ devotion. “I’m just happy that they like me,” she said. Still, some of the things Belladonna gets up to might shock her neighbors.
Today Bella is watching her husband, Aiden, direct Ashley Blue in a foot fetish scene. The filming takes about 40 minutes and there are two or three cuts, which is a ridiculously short amount of time to film a scene, even in porn. It might have something to do with the fact that Blue keeps all her clothes on, all the time, except her shoes.
“Some of the foot guys are pretty hard core,” she said. “They don’t want to see you without your shirt on. Fine with me.”
The house is a multileveled modern space that looks out of place, but not shockingly so, in the grassy neighborhood south of Ventura Blvd. near Laurel Canyon. It looks like it got airlifted from New York City and dropped here, having been washed somewhere in transit. Belladonna and Aiden live and work here, shooting scenes for her website that will be converted to DVD.
I asked if this sort of place was her dream house when she was back in St. George, UT. “No,” she said, about to watch Ashley Blue jerk off a guy with her feet, “I’d like to live in a much smaller place.” Bella’s husband, Aiden, walks Blue through what she’ll be doing.
