I spoke with pornstress Nautica Thorn about her appearance in this summer’s Knocked Up. She appeared (along with Stormy Daniels) in a Las Vegas strip club sequence providing lap dances to Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd.
The scene was shot over four days last November on a strip club set on a soundstage in Los Angeles. And Thorn was a big hit backstage.
Don’t believe what you read about Hollywood – most working actors can’t get laid, either. So the appearance of the uninhibited Thorn on set wasn’t part of an ordinary day of shooting.
GP: Did Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd behave like gentlemen all the way through your scene?
NT: Yes, but I think that Stormy and I were the ones that were misbehaving. We sat on their laps and were trying to make them mess up their lines. We did outrageous things, such as when Stormy put her butt in Seth’s face.
GP: I thought it was Paul’s face, in the movie…
NT: We switched a lot.
GP: Awesome.
NT: Some of the stuff they were saying was improvised due to our actions. They were great.
Porn budgets can be pretty low, so extravagances are rare. I asked about craft services on the set of Knocked Up.
“The food was great,” Thorn said. “They had a sushi guy cutting up fresh fish. I think I got a pudding, too. By far the best service I had. I am now thinking of stepping up my food service.”
The last porn set I visited featured a few cans of Diet Coke and some Red Vines for the press. But it was a bukkake, so there were a lot more people to feed.
GP: Many actors work without clothing but seem awkward doing so. You were brought in to sell sex professionally. That said, your colleagues in the adult industry see you naked all the time. Do you have any interesting stories from the Knocked Up set that involve people not being able to deal with a sexy naked woman hanging around?
NT: It was just funny on how uncomfortable people can be with someone walking around naked. I mean we wore our robes, but of choice I wanted to run around naked. But we have to separate our jobs from theirs.
GP: You don’t look at your job as the same as theirs, except naked?
NT: Meaning being respectful of the two different occupations. But it was still fun to tease.
